Future4Orphans is a family-founded nonprofit caring for orphaned children in Afghanistan, not from a distance, but through hands-on, daily work. We built our own orphanage in Farah, where our family has roots, and where every child is known by name.

Future 4 Orphans began as a personal promise. Our family has roots in Farah, Afghanistan, and when we saw children growing up without stability, we decided to act. Not only by raising funds or creating awareness but by building our own orphanage.
In 2021, we founded Mehr Orphanage, “Mehr” meaning love and compassion. It’s more than a shelter. It’s a home. A place where children are fed, supported, and given the tools to grow, in every sense.
We know their names. We see them every day. This is not charity from afar. This is family showing up, again and again.

The foundation of every future. We offer structured schooling that nurtures both academic growth and self-confidence.

We provide daily meals and essential healthcare — because no child can learn or grow on an empty stomach.

Children heal and thrive when they feel safe. We offer play, creativity, and space to simply be a child again.

February 2020
A School Begins
We established a small, family-run school for orphans in Farah, and hired our first teacher. This was the very first seed of what would become Mehr Orphanage.
October 2023
Officially Registered as an NGO
We became a recognized non-profit organization in Belgium, setting the stage for sustainable, transparent growth.
May 2024
Partnerships for Progress
We joined Benevity, opening the door to new donation streams and workplace giving. This marked the beginning of deeper support networks.
June 2024
On the Ground Again
Our co-founders visited the orphanage during Eid al-Adha, bringing community, celebration, and hands-on support.
September 2024
Cultural Recognition
We were honoured to speak at the Google x LinkedIn Afghan Cultural Night, raising awareness and building new connections.
October 2024
New Ways to Give
We launched our Monthly Donation Plans and introduced our Ambassador Program, empowering others to fundraise and advocate.
November 2024
Running for a Reason
Our ambassador Chloe completed a half marathon, raising funds and awareness. We also joined the Holiday Giving Campaign, reaching a wider audience of supporters.
April 2025
Volunteers on Site
We brought volunteers to visit the orphanage for the first time, creating lasting bonds between supporters and the children we care for.
May 2025
Ironmen4Orphans
3 of our ambassadors participated in a half triathlon, raising funds and attention through a powerful act of solidarity and strength.

We coordinate the strategy, fundraising, and digital tools that keeps Future4Orphans running, so the focus stays on what matters most: the children.
Mohamad leads the creative vision of Future 4 Orphans. With over a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector across the UK and Europe, he’s helped shape impactful campaigns for organizations like FEMYSO, Muslim Charities Forum, CAGE, and many others. His work connects storytelling with strategy, helping turn awareness into action.
Overseeing educational programs and ensuring quality for our children. Future4Orphans is a nonprofit transforming the lives of orphaned children in Afghanistan. Leading initiatives in education, empowerment, and essential care to break the cycle of poverty and create brighter futures. Passionate about giving every child the chance to thrive. Next to his role at F4O, Miher is an Account Executive at Google where he partners with top customers in Belgium & Luxembourg by navigating challenges, accelerating growth, and shaping the industry's future.
As Co-founder of Future4Orphans, Shafiq is the driving force behind the organisation's operations. He manages day-to-day tasks, guaranteeing their completion and smooth execution. Shafiq also takes the lead on ensuring the Future4Orphans school in Afghanistan receives all necessary resources. Beyond his role as a Senior Account Manager at Google Ireland, his true dedication lies in making a tangible difference in the lives of as many children as possible across the globe.
As IT Manager Mashoq leads the technical efforts focused on delivering and securing identities, devices, collaboration platforms, services and infrastructure. Mashoq has had an 11 year career in covering all aspects of IT Management and systems administration. He has worked for the past 5 years at Microsoft where he is currently working as Senior Consultant / Platform Engineer.
Focused on the technical backend and online presence. From web design to donation systems, Ersan helps the organisation run smoothly behind the scenes. With a background in IT support and UX design, he translates ideas into action, making it easier for people to support our cause
